Rose Ludwick was an entrepreneur at heart. After successfully establishing Ludwick Catering Ltd. she didn’t hesitate to become a partner in a new venture in 2006 – Perfect Pierogies Ltd.Rose and her business partner Carole experimented with a dough recipe for quite some time until perfection was achieved for a ‘perfect’ pierogy recipe.
Rose had the talent to analyze food products for their spices and ingredients, but more importantly to create what was needed to enhance the product taste. She was instrumental in the incorporation of the finalized recipe for mass production of these pierogies.
Rose was a no nonsense, get it done, let’s get down to business type of person. She loved to laugh, loved a good story and could cry at the drop of a hat. Life was not long enough to do all the things she wanted to do. She never gave up or gave in, always knew where she was headed, and put her faith in God.
Rose had a way of life where she managed to combine her great love of cooking with not only business, but also with family and friends. Her goal was to build something she and her family could be proud of. Nothing made her happier than to have people comment on how delicious Perfect Pierogies were and to continue producing recipes for the company.
Perfect Pierogies started as a little home-style food business with humble beginnings and through Rose’s recipes, now serves Canadians from coast to coast. The principles of taste and personal service that Rose developed will live on forever.
Today, Grandma Rose’s fingerprint can be found on each and every pierogy. Through the use of our handcrafted pierogy machine and personalized dye, Rose’s legacy will continue to pinch the Perfect Pierogy for many generations to come.
Thank you, Grandma Rose, from the bottom of our hearts for all that you are, were and will forever be.
Rest in Peace Nana Rose. You truly are the Rose in our hearts.
